Hello there,

I am from Germany. I have subscribed for AI Assistant for Acrobat. I wanted to try the 7-day free trail version but somehow I missed it. I have already paid one months subscription. Now, I want to cancel the subscription but It shows I have to pay 32.92 euros. As I am a student, It’s really tough fpr me to pay that amount. Can I get some waiver or something like that?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

    Thread Summary

A user in Germany subscribed to AI Assistant for Acrobat, intending to use the 7-day free trial, but missed cancelling before the trial ended and was charged for one month's subscription. When attempting to cancel afterward, the user was informed about early termination fee would apply.

    • ShivangiGupta (Community Manager) reviewed the account and explained that Adobe offers a full refund only if a subscription is cancelled within the first 14 days, and since the cancellation request came after that window, an early termination fee applied.

    Suggested solutions by Adobe

    1. Review Adobe's subscription terms to understand exactly when a full refund applies (within 14 days of purchase) versus when a cancellation fee applies (after 14 days), so you know what to expect based on your plan type and cancellation timing.

    2. To avoid this happening again, note the specific end date of any free trial and cancel before that date, since charges begin immediately once the trial period ends.

    Hi @Sadia Nusrat ,

We appreciate you reaching out. I reviewed your account details and found that you have an active subscription for AI Assistant for Acrobat since 15 days.

Adobe offers full refund if the subscription is cancelled within first 14 days. Since you are cancelling the plan before term end, this is the reason you are being asked to pay early termination fee.

You may check the details here: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html

Let me know if you have any questions.

Do I have to pay the full amount or is there any other way to minimize it?

A cancellation fee of 50% of the remaining balance of your contract obligation may apply. Your service will continue until the end of that month’s billing period.

Hi @Sadia Nusrat  these are peer to peer forums. You are not addressing Adobe people here. Cancellation fees is applicable if it is not done during the specified period.
