Change in already cancelled subscription

Hello,

I was late to cancel my yearly subscription, to cancel it I had to renew my card information. Now I cancelled but it looks like I have to pay a whole year. Can I switch the to a different plan after cancellation? I can change to a monthly plan with no subscription. Thanks in advance
