Question

Charged before the trail ended

I signed up for the 7-day free trial of Adobe Acrobat, but I was charged immediately upon subscribing. This is misleading and feels like fraud. I did not authorize any payment before the trial period ended. I want an immediate refund and a clear explanation of why this happened. Please resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Hi @vishal_7515,

Thank you for reaching out.

Upon reviewing your account, we can confirm that you have an individual Acrobat trial plan associated with the Adobe ID used to post this query.

The charge you’re seeing on your credit card is an authorization hold, not an actual debit. This temporary hold is placed for up to 7 days to verify your payment method and will only be converted into a charge if the subscription continues beyond the trial period.

If the trial is canceled within the 7-day window, the authorization hold will be automatically released, and no payment will be processed.

To verify this, please sign in at https://adobe.ly/4kg5xPZ, select "View invoices" for your plan or product, and check if any invoice is available. If no invoice is listed, it confirms that no payment has been made. You can refer to this guide for further help: https://adobe.ly/3Z0XHBi

We hope this addresses your concern. Please feel free to reach out if you need further assistance.

Regards,
^AN

But the amount is deducted from my card, I also received a message from my bank that the amount is debited. So, how it is a authorization hold?
