Checked if a pdf was corrupted, now I'm out a few hundred bucks

We're sorry for this unfortunate situation. Adobe provides a free trial of 7days on all the Creative Cloud applications. In case the users forgets or fails to cancel the subscription and the payment goes through, then you can cancel it within 14days to get complete refund.

We understand there was some sort of confusion in this scenario.

there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter:

in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.
