Complaint about customer service, terms and plans [was: Adobe is the worst creative platform]

I have used Adobe Creative Cloud in the past and had always had problems with their customer service, terms and plans.

Event 1
- After using Adobe for less than a year, they charged me double the amount way before the renewable date. They said that after a year, the student plan had to pay the undiscounted price.

-They wouldn't refund me when I was trying to cancel my subscription and charging me earlier than the date.

-They made schemes such as they'll continue to charge me the discounted price when I just wanted it cancelled. How sketchy, desperate and unethical.

Event 2
- I wanted to subscribe to Adobe for ONLY a month for a student project, I was charged a cancellation fee. In what world is any student going to pay $120+
- The terms are only blatantly mentioned when I cancel but on the front page of my plan it is not mentioned even when I click on the dropbox to see the terms.

I am so done with the platform. You're such a well known platform but you use sketchy schemes.

I am having this same exact problem!! They were very unhelpful on the phone, and just trying to scam into getting more money like you said.

I was told to purchase the account by a professor for a class as I am in college, and I had no idea what I was getting in to, now I have to pay like $100 to cancel early?! Doesn't make sense.

Did you get this resolved? Any tips?! Thank you 🙂

Hi Jessica,

I'm sorry to hear that you're going through something similar. I messaged Adobe Care on Twitter and they were more helpful in getting things resolved. I hope this helps!

The Student Plan is a 1 year subscription only.  The discount terms clearly say $20/month for first year and $30/month after that.

Did you read the TERMS you agreed to?

Hello Nancy,

I am complaining about the early charge before I've made the decision to go another year with Adobe. I stated to the support team that I wanted to cancel the subscription due to the amount increase and they told me I would be able to continue paying the discounted 1st year price which seemed unethical and sketchy to me. I did not think it was fair for other customers.

The support team took a long time to respond to my demands and kept encouraging me to take that scheme. I just wanted the refund for something I did not agree upon.

Adobe has solved my issues as of currently due to my response. I really don't appreciate the jab.

I will no longer comment on the situation.
