Question

Converting individual account to student

I am currently enrolled in college and noticed that my school bookstore offers a one-year subscription to Creative Cloud for a price that is cheaper than what I've been paying for my individual account. I'm tempted to purchase, but unsure if I have issues due to it being for students, and my current account isn't listed as that. I'm uncertain whether I should cancel my account, create a new one, and then redeem, or if I should simply redeem as is.

first you need to update your credentials to verify you're a student.

next, you need to be very careful redeeming anything that duplicates or overlaps with a current subscription.  you could end up paying for both.

Start at http://www.adobe.com/education.html
-The FIRST step is to verify that your school is accredited
-FAQ https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/education-faq.html
-https://www.adobe.com/offer-terms/student_teacher_eligibility.html
-Cloud Education Plan https://creative.adobe.com/plans?plan=edu
-http://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/buy/students.html

Then Change plan https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/change-plan.html

You MAY need to have support help to change your plan without a cancel fee on your old plan
