I'm wondering if your subscription was changed from billed annually ($19.99/month) to month-by-month ($29.99/month).

I'm on an annual subscription and don't keep track of the monthly price, so Adobe could have increased prices, but the $19.99/month seems like the old price.

That is a sizable jump in price, per your email from Adobe.

You could try another PDF vendor as Adobe isn't the only company with PDF tools. It no longer owns the PDF file format (Acrobat, yes, but not the file format itself, which is now open source). So you have other options.

But from our testing, I know that Adobe Acrobat is the best product if you require any of these features/tools:

Compliance with the PDF standards (Archive /A; Engineering /E; Accessibility /UA; printing & graphic arts /X
Full suite of PDF tools
Prepress tools
Accessibility tools
