Creative Cloud Billing Increase

Hello:

For at least the last three years I have been paying $29.99 per month for my All Apps Creative Cloud Subscription.

Suddenly, last month, without any notice (yes, I check my spam folder), my bill increased to $59.99 per month. That's DOUBLE the price!

It is impossible to contact Adobe, although the Help Center suggests that it may be the end of a trial period. I do not believe a trial period would have lasted three years.

Has anyone else encountered a similar increase, and is the new price really $59.99 per month?

Regards,

Patrick

All apps for $30/month sounds like a Student/Teacher discount.

What's the worst about this price hike - there are thousands of amateur and elderly retired photographers that do it for pleasure or clubs now and don't make any money off photography.
  I don't think I'd renew with a 50% price hike if I were them.  I see Affinity in my future.
  P.S. Adobe no one asked for AI why should we pay for it.

Hello,

Today, I just received a notice that my bill for access to PS and LCR will increase by 53.91%.  I can only assume the increase is response to the CAD to USD.  When the Canadian dollar recovers, will Adobe respond in kind or keep the spoils?  If the currency exchange was not the reason for this outrageously dramatic price increase then what is the reason?

@SamanthaDragon

the annual photography plan paid annually has no price increase.  only the monthly paid plan has this increase.

Hi Nancy,

Yes, it does sound like a Student/Teacher discount. However, when I log into my account and view my invoices for the past three years, each one is billed at $29.99 and the "Product Description" on each one, for three years, says, "Creative Cloud All Apps 100GB." Nowhere does it say "Student/Teacher Discount." Even if I had the discount, why would it change now after three years?

There is just no way to get an explanation from Adobe on this. I called the phone number on my credit card bill (which is the only way to find a phone number, and was connected with an overseas call center that gave me a lot of "maybe this" and "perhaps that" but no definitive answers. Very frustrating.

@PWeareB

again, the first year is an intro/sweetener price,  then the cost rises.  thereafter the price stabilizes except for issues explained in https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/subscription-price-increase-2023-individual-plans.html

Thank you for that.

However, how could my plan go from $29.99 for the past three years to $59.99.

Thank you,

Patrick
