Question

Entering German Tax ID to avoid Reverse Charges

I need to enter my German Tax ID (Umsaztsteuernummer) in my account in place of MWSt Nummer (Mehrwertsteuernummer), which I entered by mistake. However, the form does not allow me any format for tax ID other than anything that starts with a letter, which is not the case of the Umsatzsteuernummer.

Of course Adobe does not offer even a chat, especially in Germany, to solve this problem.

Meanwhile, I keep on getting Reverse-Charges and have to pay for them.

*This has got to stop*, otherwise I will have to stop payments and cancel my subscription for good.

It is unacceptable that a company does not offer any customer service whatsoever and one has to rely on a community in order to solve issues of *any kind*.

Itokkit, sorry you are unable to update the Tax ID associated with your account. Can you verify if you are using the steps listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/update-vat-id-for-eu-countries.html to update the ID? Which web browsers have you tried?

If you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact our support team, as suggested by Kglad, to speak with someone in a secure environment to update the critical information needed for your taxes. If the chat window fails to open when you click on https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen then please use a different device. The same thing blocking you from updating the Tax ID could also prevent the chat window from opening on the computer.

if this fails to help, https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/print-creative-cloud-invoice.html

contact adobe support.  adobe does have chat support in most of europe, including germany.

there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter:

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

twitter:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-community/td-p/12919684/redirect_from_archived_page/true
