Estafa - Cobro no autorizado

    Thread summary

A user was using the free trial of Adobe Acrobat and reported being charged on their card for an AI service that they did not recall knowingly agreeing to during signup. The user felt the charge for the AI functionality was not clearly disclosed and was unable to locate a contact form on their Adobe account.

    • kglad (Community Expert) clarified that trials are free, and that Acrobat is a paid product distinct from the free Adobe Reader. After the user confirmed the issue was specifically a charge for an AI feature, kglad advised proceeding with the cancellation steps provided in the thread.
    • Jeffrey_A_Wright (Legend), marked as the correct answer, indicated that a new commitment to the AI Assistant had been started and pointed to the steps for self-cancelling any unneeded services. He also referenced Adobe's cancellation and refund terms, noting that any refund issued would take up to 14 days to process.
    • A similar user in the thread reported multiple charges of around 30 dollars each that they could not locate under any plan in their account. kglad directed that user to Adobe's charge identification tool to find which account was being billed.

    Solutions suggested by Adobe

    1. Check your Adobe account to identify every active subscription and add-on, since a free trial of Acrobat can also start a separate paid commitment such as AI Assistant for Acrobat, billed separately.

    2. Self-cancel any add-on or service you did not intend to keep, cancelling each one individually since they are managed as separate subscriptions.

    3. If you see a charge you cannot match to any plan in your account, use Adobe's Charge Finder tool to identify which account and product the charge is tied to, entering the payment details exactly as they appear on your statement.

    4. Review Adobe's refund policy to confirm your eligibility — most plans qualify for a full refund if cancelled within 14 days of the initial order, and any approved refund can take up to 14 days to appear.
