Extended student discount & change e-mail

Hello!

I'm graduating from school in the beginning of next month and I just found out you can extend the student discount for one year after graduation. I think my plan is set to expire in August though, since that's when I started the plan 2 years ago when school started.

To the question - my account and plan is linked to my school e-mail. Can I safely change my email to my normal e-mail and still be eligible for the extended student discount?

Also, I've read that I'm supposed to get an email with more information about this, including a link to education status verification to confirm student status and an extended student discount. Since the plan started in August 2021, does that mean I won't get that email until sometime in July? I'm just a bit worried since I'm only studying for a couple more weeks.
