Getting charged on a free plan?

Hey there all,

I thought I'd drop this comment in, in case anyone else has experienced the same thing.

I have been using Adobe for the past few months, and paying their somewhat pricey subscription of £29.99 + £6.99 (never quite figured out what this was for as Adobe insists it cannot find my card even though the payment goes through!).
Since I was not really happy with this, I decided to cancel the plan; during the process I was offered a 90-day free period ("...on us..." acording to Adobe); I accepted. This was yesterday (27 Nov. 2025)...

And lo and behold, bright and early today (29 Nov. 2025)... I was charged! No doubt the rest of it - the £29.99 will follow!

So much for believing what you read on the internet eh?! Can't trust anyone these days it seems - not even big reputabalbe companines like Adobe.

Needless to say, since there is no way to contact Adobe unless you happen to have an enterprise, or teams account - I am cutting my losses and cancelled the plan!

Happy days all,

Dana x

Hello, thank you for writing.

I already had a paid subscription. The problems started when I tried to
cancel!

Hi @DANAKAHN202,

Thanks for reaching out.

I can see that you subscribed to Adobe Acrobat and AI Assistant for Acrobat. The free trial period is usually a free extension to the plan you choose. Would you mind reaching out to our support here? https://adobe.ly/3XXf0lB

They'll provide you with the best possible solution.

Thank you Shivangi,
Thank you for getting in touch with me.
I think I have finally got this issue sorted out - I'm not 100% sure - but I think it has.
I managed to contact support and I think I have the 90-day offer in place, although I'm going to have to keep a close check on any emails I get from Adobe - as I've been given different information at different times from the support staff I have managed to speak with.

Thank you again, I am very grateful.

Dana x 🙏

When you log into your Adobe account with your Adobe ID, what is listed?

Thank you for your comment David,

I appreciate it.
I have actually thankfully got this issues sorted out for now (I think!)

I have only one account that I have signed up to Adobe for as it happens, but I finally managed to get some help with sorting out the payments issues.

Good News For me, I've been pounding the top of my head trying to figure out how to use the free Adobe Acrobat. All I wanted was a way to fill a financial Assistance form  and upload it to my medical app for processing. After filling out the form and attempting to upload fighting through the many pop ups requesting monthly payments to proceed, I paid the fee.

The completed form uploaded BLANK.

So lost and confussed... and loo,ing for a different program to use.

When these companies become big enough not to care about such
inconveniences - they simply don't care!
They've got the large companies paying their large subscriptions, for whom
they provide live customer care, and that's all that matters to them.
Good luck looking for another program...

Tip: Ask AI - specify the functions you want and let them search for you!
