Getting refunded after cancelling my adobe subscription

Good afternoon. I signed up for Adobe a few months ago to access the apps (specifically photoshop and adobe xd). I only used this license for 1-2 weeks. Shortly after this I joined a company that provided me with a license and I no longer needed the first license I purchased. However, I forgot to cancel the first license and only remembered about it now when the money was subtracted from my bank account. I immediately cancelled that first license and saw that I also have a cancellation fee that I now need to pay. Please help because this is a lot of money and I really don't want to pay for services I did not use. If there is any way you can assist that would be amazing.

you don't have much of a case saying, "i forgot", but you can appeal to adobe support. there are 2 ways to contact adobe; chat and twitter:

chat:
use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

twitter:

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative. ie, double check for an employee badge if contacted in the forums and look for an adobe.com domain in the email address if you click reply to an email. then check again and be very suspicious. any other method of contacting (or offering to contact you) is almost certainly a scam, https://community.adobe.com/t5/using-the-community-discussions/staying-safe-in-the-adobe-support-community/td-p/12919684/redirect_from_archived_page/true
