Question

Hello, I have a slightly unusual question regarding Lightroom and my situation as a beginner photographer. Could I speak with a support agent about it?

Hello, I have a slightly unusual question.

I’m a young beginner photographer, and Lightroom is very important for my work. Unfortunately, I currently have limited financial resources, so paying for a subscription is difficult for me.

Where I live, I have access to a cracked version of Lightroom that I could technically use without being detected. However, I’m Muslim, and for religious and ethical reasons, I don’t want to use software that belongs to someone else without permission.

So I wanted to ask Adobe directly: would you give me permission to use a cracked version temporarily in my situation?

If not, I completely understand and will respect that. I would simply appreciate it if you could tell me whether there is any legal free, student, beginner, or discounted option available for someone in my situation.

Thank you for understanding.

    I feel for you.

If you can show that you are a student, there are student rates available. But, there are certain criteria for qualifying academic locations. I do not know what these might be, but I will assume that a bonified university that you are actually attending, and can show paperwork for would be a good place to start.

I’m afraid that’s going to be the qualification for such a rate.

    Good luck!
