Help Needed: Price Increase and Subscription Cancellation

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here can help me out because I’ve been running into some issues with my Adobe subscription.

I’m currently on the Creative Cloud All Apps 100GB plan, which normally costs KD 15.000 a month. But my latest invoice shows I was charged KD 16.300, and I have no idea why. I tried reaching out to Adobe’s customer support to get an explanation, but I just can’t seem to get through to anyone.

After looking into it more, I think the price increase might be because my subscription renewed. The thing is, I didn’t get any email about the renewal, and I couldn’t find an option to turn off auto-renewal in my account.

I was actually planning to cancel my subscription after a year of payments, but when I tried, I was hit with a cancellation fee of around KD 89.650. That just feels ridiculous to me.

So here’s where I need help:

  1. Is there any way to get a refund for the overcharge on my last invoice?
  2. Can I cancel my subscription without having to pay such a huge penalty?

I’d really appreciate any advice or guidance on what I can do next. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this!

to others, adobe sends notification via email about 30 days prior to plan renewal. ie, check your spam folder.

I had the same thing and no emails.

It's outrageous they have done this and given seemingly no notice to half their customers. After going on chat I managed to get 60 days free credit so I will try again in November when this expires.

1. possibly, if you make your case to adobe support and they're sympathetic

2. same, as 1.

there are 2 ways to contact adobe support; chat and twitter (now x):

chat:
if you have or want to purchase a subscription, use a browser that allows popups and cookies
and click here, https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
in the chat field (lower right), type AGENT
be patient, it can take quite a while to reach a human.

twitter/x:
tweet @AdobeCare

p.s. if you're contacted by anyone (via email or private message), it's much more likely to be a scammer than an adobe representative.
