I have been advised that if I cancel my plan (paid monthly) that I will be charged a $110 early cancellation fee. I do not know whether this amount will reduce if I wait 1 month, 2 months, whatever???

Hi @pct44,

We appreciate you reaching out. Adobe calculates the early cancellation fee for most of its Annual Plans (Paid Monthly) as follows:

  • If you cancel after the 14-day trial period, you are charged 50% of the remaining balance on your contract

Example:

Let’s say you’re on a plan that costs $20/month, and you cancel in month 9 of your 12-month contract:

  • You have 3 months remaining.
  • Remaining balance = 3 × $20 = $60
  • Early cancellation fee = 50% of $60 = $30

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

I am now paying $A23.99 per month, and my cancellation fee was going to be
over $A100.
Given that I have been using your products (Photoshop Elements, and
subscriptions), for over 20 years, I believe that the imposition of the
early cancellation fee is odious, and unfair. I will now cancel in 10
months time when the fee will be zero.

Thank you so much for being a loyal Adobe user for over 20 years that’s truly appreciated. Your long-standing support and creative journey with products like Photoshop Elements and Creative Cloud subscriptions mean a great deal.

I completely understand your frustration regarding the early cancellation fee, especially after such a long relationship with Adobe. While the fee is part of the standard terms for annual plans, I agree that your situation deserves a closer look.

Would you mind start a chat with our support team here: https://adobe.ly/4lmEu5N

I'm sure they'll be able to provide the best possible solution here.
