How does adobe know my new debit card info?

So long story short I had to cancel my old debit card and order a new one. I've only had the card for a few days, and today I decided to change my adobe subscription and I saw that my new card information was already set up to pay for my monthly subscription. How is this possible if I had not yet given them my new information? I'm so confused and a little concerned 😟
