How to cancel a student account bought through university

Please help.
In August last year I bought a 12month plan for a 1 semester design course in Australia.
I knew it was a 12month plan but I remember there being some kind of option where after 6 months you could cancel and not be charged too much, i think it was half the cost left or something.

I apparently no longer have illustrator even thought they are still charging me. 

When i log in to my account, they give me no invoices (they have never emailed me any invoices).
There is not information to indicate when they will stop charging me and how to make sure they do not keep charging me after my 12 months is up. 

I am trying to cancel early and pay the cancellation fee but the "cancel plan" button does not exist for me because it is 'through my administrator" aka uni. However, this makes no sense, why would I have to go through uni to be able to cancel this? (by the way, there is no option on the uni website to try to 'cancel' adobe, this doesnt exist).
