I can’t afford the Adobe cancellation fee — what can I do?

Hi everyone,

I subscribed to an Adobe annual plan (billed monthly), but I didn’t realize it was a one-year commitment.

Now I want to cancel it, but Adobe wants me to pay about 120 euros as a cancellation fee.

I’m a student and I really can’t afford that right now. I don’t use the apps anymore.

Has anyone managed to cancel their plan without paying the fee? What should I tell Adobe support to make them cancel it for free?

Thank you so much for any help 🙏

False alarm. I still have no use for it.

========

Most people wishing to cancel do it immediately, before their 7-day free trial ends.  If you waited too long to cancel, you're not entitled to any refunds.

your other option is to continue the monthly payments.

@ondřej_6393 If you recently purchased it, within the first 14 days of purchase, you should be able to get a full refund. The message you're seeing about the cancellation fee is due to the Early Termination Fee (ETF) policy. This fee applies when an annual plan is canceled before completing the full 12-month term or before the final payment of the term is made. After the first 14 days, ETF applied. The fee is 50% of the remaining balance of your 12-month contract obligation.
