Question

I cancelled within hours of opening a trial subscription. But they are still taking my money

I cancelled a trial subscription within hours of opening it because I could immediately see it woul not be of any value.

I recieved a message We are sorry to see you go....'

My credit card was charged a few days later and I assumed this was due to the time for the systems and that I ewould receive a refund.

I have now been charged a second month.

I hVE GONE ONTO MY ACCOUNT AND SEE THAT IF i NOW CANCEL i WILL BE CHARGED  a further £86 or more.

I hve tried the Adobe help and that is completely hopeless.

Can you advise please.

Dear Tom,

This email confirms that you canceled your AI Assistant for Acrobat subscription. You will continue to have access to your subscription tools and online services until the end of your billing cycle on 29-July-2025 (PT). After this date, your account will revert to a basic, free level of membership.

If you change your mind or have done this in error, you can easily reactivate your subscription.

No - that does not answer the question.  It implies that I took out two subscriptions at the same time.  I wanted to find out what Adobe Pro would do for me; I never knowingly asked for an AI Assistant a service I believe to be thoroughly pernicious and unnecessary to anyone who simply wishes to use a servcice such as Adobe.  After a few minutes I realised that Adobe Pro would do nothing remotely useful and cancelled - or beleieved that I had cancelled it without penalty

I daresay you will tell me it is all my fault and that I did not read the small print carefully enough.   If you will not permit me to cancel the subscription immediately and without financial penalty please record the fact that I wish to cancel it 12 months after it started.  Under NO circumstances do I wish it to be renewed.

Entirely by mistake because the process seemed to be intertwined and unclear - but then I am only an old fogey who is half senile and I am not the target market.  I thought I had cancelled everything I had subscribed to.

Tom, thanks for creating this public discussion thread about your recent subscription commitments to Adobe. I can confirm that you did cancel the AI Assistant for Acrobat as you described in your public post. Your other subscription is still active. If you have no more need of our services, then you can complete the self-cancel process listed at https://adobe.ly/47fsHSy. ^JW
