I wanted to restore my purchases from my new email account, but I subscribed to my old email account instead.

    Dante, thanks for posting about not being blocked from accessing the email account that was provided by your school to manage your subscription. Please contact your school to request access to the email account. Depending upon the type of account, you can then update the email address to an account that you do have access to.
