Impossible to remove VAT ID

I closed my business by the end of 2025 and want to remove the VAT ID in my Adobe account. This is apparently impossible: (I try to translate the Adobe UI in German to English.)

• Selected my plan, selected Manage payment, selected the currently used credit card and selected “edit”: removed the VAT ID (earmarked as Option in the UI) and saved the changed setting. (The price of the plan did not change - as I expected.)
• The January 2026 invoice showed my old VAT ID and no VAT was applied.
• I had a look into Manage payment with the credit card - edited above - and it showed a VAT ID - I had removed it ?!?!?
• I got into Manage payment and selected “new credit card”, entered all required data about the credit card and did NOT fill in the VAT ID - and saved this new payment.
• The February 2026 invoice showed my old VAT ID and no VAT was applied.
• I had a look into Manage payment of the recently entered new credit card: a VAT ID was shown.
• I searched this Community and found a posting: changed my payment to Paypal, did NOT enter a VAT ID there - and to make it short: nothing changed, the VAT ID is still shown as being active.

How to get rid of the VAT ID??
