Impossible update lightroom and lightroom classic

Hello,

On my professional computer, I asked for installing creative cloud to install my personal applications.
They installed it indeed.

But when I try to launch one of the 2 lightroom application, they are respectively on 5.0 and 11.0.1 version. There is no update.

IT of my company told me they don’t have any restriction or adobe management.

Does someone help me to pass through this strange situation ?
Best regards

Sébastien

@allamezon I appreciate the information. I recommend you avoid using your personal software licenses on your work computer.

Please work directly with your IT department to find a secure photo-editing solution that meets both of your needs.

    I see!
If there is any administrative restriction then, it is important for the system administrator to enable updating the apps.

    Hi @allamezon

    Thanks for writing in.

What error do you get when you try to update the apps? Could you share a screenshot?

    We're here to help.

    Hi Shivangi !

    Here are screenshots… in French.
I don’t have any error or alert. Here, Lightroom is available in 5.0 version and no update is proposed.
It seems, there is an admin restriction ‘cause of my company but they told me there are no limitation. 🙄

p.s. this should be in the download and install forum unless your admin supplied your cc desktop installer.

This is the case. My admin installed the 6.10.0.252.41 creative cloud application. I can’t install anything else.

    Thanks for posting, @allamezon.

I see that you have a Creative Cloud for Education subscription. These subscriptions are designed for your personal use.

If your employer requires you to have access to Lightroom on their computers, they should purchase a license for you, @allamezon.

We also offer Creative Cloud for Teams plans that provide additional flexibility. Please see https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/business/teams/upgradetoteams.html for more information.

Are you able to access your Photography plan on your home computer, @allamezon?

did you download the cc desktop app by using the links at the both of this page, https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/apps/download-install-apps/creative-cloud-apps/download-creative-cloud-desktop-app-using-direct-links.html

and then install the cc desktop app using an administrator account (solution 4 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

I can’t install any application. I don’t have admin rights on the computer. Every apps needs to be installed through the creative cloud.
