Incorrect Plan Upgrade and Unexpected Charges – Urgent Resolution Needed

Hello,

I was speaking with a support bot regarding switching to a more affordable monthly plan. I was told the new plan would be 50% off, which I confirmed was fine. However, without my consent or any clear communication, I was suddenly placed on an annual plan and charged a large upfront amount—something I never agreed to.

To make matters worse, because of this change, my previous plan was cancelled automatically and now I'm being told I owe a significant cancellation fee. This entire situation was caused by miscommunication and error on the bots side, not mine, and I do not believe I should be penalized for it.

Please review this and tell me how to correct this as I can't get to anybody else but a bot.

Thanks

    Hi @Ruan35570647gbfn,

We are sorry for the experience. I can see that you have an active annual prepaid subscription for CC all apps which was earlier annual plan paid monthly.
The annual prepaid plan is cost effective and this must be the reason for you getting the option to switch. However, since this was plan change there should not be any early termination fees imposed here. Please contact our support team here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen
They'll help you with the matter.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

there's no cancellation fee IF you change plans.  so, if you want to stay with the annual photography plan paid annually, you can get the cancellation fee refunded.

if you want to stay with the photography plan paid monthly, you'll need to restart it and then there will be no cancellation fee.

if you want to cancel all plans, there will probably be a cancellation fee.

and those are your only options, at this point.
