Lightroom Purchase for LIFETIME Subscription - expired?

I purchased Lightroom back in 2015 and now I cannot download it because the version is no longer available. If this was a LIFETIME subscription purchase; shouldn't my membership be continued through all the editions? Or at least have access to whatever version was last available? I believe this has to go against the terms & conditions of a "lifetime" subscription.

Adobe does not sell a lifetime subscription... but they do sell some programs WITH A SERIAL NUMBER that are a one time purchase... if you bought LR version 6 and you have a serial number click the next link

It would be interesting to learn what exact version of Lightroom you did purchase. The perpetual licences do work without a time limit or a subscription, but there is no guarantee that the software download is still available after the end of support, or that you will be able to install and run the software on a new computer. However, Adobe does not do specific actions to disable your software.

Adobe never sold a LIFETIME license.  There's no such thing.   Adobe previously sold Lightroom 6 on a perpetual license which entitled customers to use the software for as long as Adobe supported it.  

 

In the absence of a valid serial number for legacy LR6, a Creative Cloud Photography Plan is your best replacement option.
