Lying greedy tricksters

What an awful awful company. Needed to scan ONE document, so had to sign up for the free trial, said it wouldn't bill me if I cancelled. I went and cancelled, and somehow they continued to charge me. Not only that but now that I have fully cancelled, they charged me an early cancellation fee.

This is disgusting business practice. You shouldn't take advantage of people for a few extra euros. Make your services clear and easy to discard. Locking people in without their knowledge is deceitful and greedy.

Sort yourselves out

you must have agreed to a one year subscription and failed to cancel within the 1 week trial plus 1 week grace period.  when that occurs, adobe charges 1/2 the remaining months.

you can check cancellation terms by selecting your plan type (at the top of the page here), https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/creative-cloud-subscription-terms.html

Thank you for this unbelievably helpful post... The point of companies is not to squeeze in as much bs in their T&C's as to get as much money from their customers as possible. This is hugely dishonest, I did cancel within the 14 days. I set myself a reminder and cancelled because I saw how ludicrously expensive this service is. Somehow they managed to give me some extra service I didn't want and charge me 40 euros for it. Great work guys

if that applies to both acrobat and ai then you'll get a refund.

copy and paste here (after redacting personal infor) the confirmation emails from adobe:

1.  confirmation for the trial's start

2. confirmation of cancellation

Hi @tobias_0344,

We appreciate you reaching out. Upon checking the account details, I found that you have been getting charged for the AI Assistant for Acrobat which you subscribed along with Adobe Acrobat. It is in cancelling status and will continue till May 18, 2026.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

I've moved your post from Using the Community to the Account, Payment, & Plan forum.

Which Adobe application did you get a 7-day trial for?

When did you cancel — was it within the 7-day trial., Or was it later?
