Moving CS6 License from old enterprise laptop to new private one

When I retired, my employer gave me my business MacBook and all of the software on it. It contains CS6. I have the serial number for it. I am sure the license on the laptop was part of a group license or how ever licenses are sold to a businesses. Can this license be moved to a new laptop? How can I confirm if it can? Do I need any other information?
