No, it's not $9.99/year.

When I first signed up for the photography plan, I was delighted to see that it was priced very low, $9.99/year. So it was quite a surprise when the actual bill was $120. Because it's $9.99/month, not /year.

I called Adobe and pointed out the discrepancy between the advertising and the actual billing.

But, still now in 2024, this is what Adobe emailed me as a renewal notification:

Here’s a quick look at your renewal details:
Subscription:
Photography plan (20GB)
Payment:
US $9.99/year plus Tax/VAT

Yes, sorry, the complaint was about the "/year" for "/month". I was just rounding the bill amount to the nearest dollar.

I do actually find "0.99" prices irritating, taxing one's attention to round up--but every single retailer does this, is practically required to do it, I will do it myself, so I won't make complaints there.

I'm not sure who should be contacted to fix the error, but since no harm has been done, I'd just wait and see if it gets fixed next year.  But yes, it is annoying to see a typo like that.

@kglad

I think the OP is complaining about the typo of $9.99/year rather than the $9.99/month that it should be listed as, not the 12 cents.
