No subscription Lightroom for AU/NZ not working.

I have downloaded Lightroom no subscription for AU/NZ on my macbook pro, and it keeps crashing. I managed to get some photos into it but when i try and work with them it gets all glitchy, then everything on my computer freezes. I am disappointed as I know how good my stand alone version of lightroom was. I wanted to see if I would like the new version before commiting to a subscription.

Please Help!!!
