Re: Adobe has become quite a mess of a company lately

What a nightmare adobe has become. We have subscribed for years and they suddenly decide that my creative clound and Adobe DC subscriptions have to have seperate log ins - except they didn't tell me - they just did it.

Now, after 15 years, they have decided that my subscription has not auto renewed - again no warning just can't access the products.

So go online - but their chat bot can't put me thorugh to anyone because there is not an active account. ARGGGGGH!

You can't just administer a company this badly by accident - they must be trying really hard to [moderator: expletive deleted] it up - and congratulations Adobe - you have succeeded.

Now - where are the alternatives........I'm going to find a company that give a [moderator: expletive deleted] about my business

I sign in with one account. There are no separate sign ins.

Subscriptions still autorenew. Only if you are on a prepaid subscription with no payment information in the system, you will need to renew, either by entering the payment information or by buying a new voucher. However, if the payment fails, then the subscription will, of course, be cancelled.

As you well know, there are alternatives all around, and contrary to current gossip, Adobe is not a monopoly company. However, Adobe is quite successful with its products, so I suppose the company is not that badly managed as you indicated. And the company is still growing and expanding its customer base at very little change of the price tag.

NO - the products are brilliant - it's just that recently Adobe seems to
want to make it more difficult to use them. Their customer interface is
appalling.

A well-managed company would listen to its feedback and do something about
it. Let's see - for now I'm enjoying my 14-day trial of Foxit. I can't tell
you how easy it was to sign up and get started....

it's easy to sign up here too.  almost no one posts questions/issues with signing up.

it's thereafter that some people have trouble. and some people have a lot of trouble.  why that is, i don't know.

i haven't done any troubleshooting or used any esoteric information to use and maintain my adobe cc account or products and i've been using it since it adobe moved to the subscription model.

i can tell you, based on the number of forum posts, there's about 1/10 the posts here than in the product forums where people mostly ask how to accomplish something with acrobat, or photoshop or animate etc.

i know none of that helps you, but it doesn't appear that you're asking for help. you've already made up your mind, so this exchange is for the benefit of others that might read it.
