Question

remove old email address

I had two Adobe accounts. One is a full CC paid account that I use every day, the other was an older free account that I never used and was basically obsolete.

I wanted to change the email address on the the active paid account to the address that was associated with the older free account. In order to do that, I needed to free up that email by cancelling the older account, which I did, about a week ago.

However, the active account still won’t let me change the email address to the now freed up email. I get a message saying “An error occurred” when I try to change the address in the account management page.

So my question is: (1) does it take some time for the other email address to be freed up, like say, a month, or (2) simply, what is going on?

Thanks. Patrick

Yes, I deleted my old account already, but I am still getting the error message when I try to update the new account with the email. So does that deletion of account take some time to take effect, like a month or something, before I can reuse that email?

you should allow 1-2 weeks after deleting the account before trying to reuse that email.  or change the unwanted account’s email to the undesired email address.

The last time I checked we were not able to reuse email ids in email accounts. So it could be that
