I have been using Photoshop and the Adobe products since 1988 and am a current Cloud subsciber but I no longer use the products to earn a living but I will always be producing art for fun in my retirment and hope to stay current with the cloud suite but the cost is high for someone on a fixed income. ADOBE SHOULD offer a senior citizens discount it's only the right thing to do after someone like me has spent thousnads of dollars on Adobe products over my lifetime!!!!

Hiya

Yeah! I'm in the same boat. Been using Adobe forever, and now I'm a senior that still wants to work in all the Apps!!! I have time for projects but it would be nice to have a deal!!!

because these requests have been made for 10+ years, a change is unlikely.

One option might be to use LinkedIn to float your ideas to Adobe personnel.

Seems like there's no visibility on what happens to the forms with suggestions after they are submitted.

However, you can perhaps respond to one of their posts on LinkedIn which can be seen by all and may get their response.

Greater chance for visibility and transparency.

In fact, you can create your own post on LinkedIn suggesting that companies like Adobe consider senior discounts.

Just because some individuals on this community forum state that other software vendors don't offer senior discounts doesn't mean that Adobe couldn't take the lead on this great idea.

Another opportunity for Adobe to demonstrate its creative spirit!

Adobe partners with TechSoup where non-profits with 5013c tax-exempt status can get discounted Adobe software.

Alternatively, Adobe Express might be all you need.

Premium Adobe Express ($10/month).

  • Adobe Express app (web and mobile)
  • Premiere Rush (video editing on desktop and mobile)
  • Photoshop Express (mobile)
  • Spark Video (mobile)
  • Spark Page (mobile)
  • Adobe Portfolio + hosting
  • 100 GB of cloud storage
  • All premium templates and design assets including the collection of over 160 million royalty-free Adobe Stock photo collection.

Hope that helps.

Discounted software is typically offered by software companies in order to introduce students and teachers to their products in hopes of obtaining full paying customers in the future.

It's simply a business decision.  Discounts to seniors do not drive future sales.
