Scandalous Refund Treatment
I'm posting here in the hope that someone from Adobe can finally provide a clear answer.
My case has now been ongoing for over two months. During that time, Adobe has repeatedly confirmed in writing that refunds totalling €1,025.05 had been approved, initiated and would be processed. To date, I have received only €35.75.
Over multiple support cases I have been given several different explanations:
- The refunds had been processed.
- The refunds were delayed because of a card issue.
- The refunds were rejected because my old card had expired.
- The refunds would instead be processed to my new payment method ending ****, which I provided through Adobe's secure payment link.
Today I contacted my bank.
The bank informed me that their systems cannot investigate refund attempts that never reach them highlighting these are EXPIRED cards, meaning they cannot verify Adobe's claim that my bank rejected the refund.
This leaves me with a simple question:
If Adobe says my bank rejected the refund, what evidence is that statement based on?
Surely Adobe should be able to provide at least one of the following:
- the payment processor transaction ID,
- the acquiring bank settlement confirmation,
- the destination card details,
- or another independently verifiable record showing the refund actually left Adobe's payment processor.
Most importantly, I do not accept any further explanation referring to the expired payment method.
Adobe already asked me to provide my new payment method through its secure payment link, which I did. After that, Adobe explicitly confirmed in writing:
"We will process refund of Creative Cloud Pro for 12 payments on new payment method."
This was then followed by:
"For Creative Cloud Pro we will process 12 refunds of EUR 69.80 on your newly updated card ending ****, and you will get it back in 5–7 working days."
Those statements were made after Adobe had already identified the alleged issue with the old card.
So my question to Adobe is straightforward:
Why has the refund still not been issued to the updated payment method ending **** that Adobe itself confirmed had been securely added and would be used for the refund?
I'm no longer looking for another apology, another escalation, or another estimated timeframe.
I'm asking Adobe either to:
- Immediately issue the outstanding refund to the payment method ending I added via Secure Link, exactly as previously confirmed; or
- Provide objective evidence that the refunds were actually attempted and explain why Adobe's own written commitments have not been honoured.
Has anyone else experienced a similar situation where Adobe repeatedly confirmed a refund in writing but the payment never arrived? If so, how was it eventually resolved?
