I don't have a paid account but got an email saying my photos will be deleted in cloud

    What was the exact wording in the email you received?

     

    You may have been using a starter plan to Photoshop Express, Premier Rush or Spark services that were renamed to Creative Cloud Express.  To use Premium features in CC Express, you need to pay $10/mo now.   That may also effect your Cloud storage, I don't know.
