Stuck in 1 year plan

for anyone else in this situation this is how to escape, go through the steps of cancelling your plan until you get to the stage where they offer you to change your subscription, change it to a subscription where you are not licked in, you will be charged for that but you will get a refund when you cancel your new plan.

Don't forget the plan will auto renew, so you will keep paying forever unless you cancel at the RIGHT time. If the account is direct with Adobe, the right time is during (but not at the very end of) the 12th month of the contract.  You can actually cancel at any time, but you pay a penalty for breaking your contract. The penalty is one half of what remains in the current contract year. It's always cheaper to cancel now than wait until you pay less.

I don't know what's unfair about that, as the plan states that it needs to be cancelled before the trial ends. You still can cancel during the first 14 days of your plan, after that you have a one year plan, automatically renewing if not cancelled. 

Go to https://account.adobe.com/plans, "Manage plan" and you can cancel. If you can't cancel by yourself, proceed as indicated by @kglad

I doubt that for school administred plans there is a trial available, so I'm pretty sure that you have an individual plan. 

it's not clear who you should contact.  if you have a school administered plan, you should contact the plan administrator.  if you have an individual plan, you should contact adobe support.
