student pricing for seniors who ask for it

I was recently laid off and the cost of keeping creative cloud on a fixed income (social security) is a lot for me. I plan to continue working and will need the adobe creative suite. As you are fiscally kind to students, I thought perhaps you'd extend that also to senior designers

Correct answer Nancy OShea

I can't think of a single software maker that offers senior discounts. Sorry.

Perhaps you can find a discount program offered through a membership association like AARP or  possibly TechSoup.

Good luck.

I am soon to be 66 and still using the Creative Suite, now at $70 per month. I don't use it but for a few projects yet I have 3 decades of files that I would like to be able to open at any given time. I feel that if you have put in that much sweat and tears you should get some sort of break. I don't know what to do. Maybe dump it finally and try out one of the free imitation applications. Wish there was some sort of gift for paying for the CEO's kid's college.

for a few times/year use, look for a free app/apps that do what you want.

Too bad.  I would take advantage of some of these if as a retired senior I could afford the subscription rate, which I know is not a huge amount, but I only need most of the features about 4 times a year and I am on a fixed income.

What about the Monthly pricing option?  No annual commitment. Join for a month, cancel when you're done.

@weezster

No, there are not senior discounts; only student discounts.

That being said, when I taught Adobe applications at a community college in my state (in the U.S.), I found out two things:

  • Seniors over 60 can take classes for free, but may not get into class until the day before depending on the total enrollment and how many seniors are waiting,
  • Enrollment at a community college gives you student status and qualifies you for the student discount with Adobe. The class does not have to be in Adobe software.

Things may have changed in the years since I've taught, but it's worth checking into in the state where you live.

these are user forums, but you can make suggestions to adobe.  for applicable apps, use https://helpx.adobe.com/ie/x-productkb/global/how-to-user-voice.html
