subscription cancellation

How on earth do I cancel my subscription? I've Google searched how to do it and the buttons are not the same as the instructions say. I've tried calling Adobe and have been on hold for 30 minutes then the phone cuts out. It should be pretty simple to cancel a basic subscription yet they make it virtually impossible.
