Subscription not updating

I can't find the solution to this problem in the forums.
I Downloaded CC when I was on a course and now that the course is over I bought a personal subscription.
The app is now saying I am in a trail version even though I bought a personal subscription
The e-mail I used is the same one as was used for my course, could this be the issue?
Do I have to uninstall everything and try to re-download?
