The end?
Dear Adobe,
If your life revolves around design, it never really ends. It's timeless. I've worked as a designer throughout my entire professional life, spanning nearly 50 years. During this time, I've extensively used Apple products and Adobe software.
I've been able to make a living through my craft and the available tools, grateful that I could afford to work with Apple and Adobe. Now, as retirement looms, a reality faced by many loyal users each year, my income is set to decrease compared to my working years. However, I am and will always be a designer.
Should I now pack up my Apple devices and cancel my Creative Cloud subscription? Does this mean I'm no longer a designer? Of course not! You remain a designer always. These are exciting times with the rise of AI, and I am eager to continue exploring it.
Yet, I question whether I can still afford to pay my subscription fees every month. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Adobe introduced a reduced rate for retirees, similar to the reduced rate available for students? Consider it a friendly gesture from Adobe to retain their long-time loyal customers.
It's just an idea.
