Trial of creative cloud canceled. But now I can't uninstall apps?

Hello, this seems like a strange problem.  I tried AI/creative cloud, and it didn't have the functionality that I wanted (xaml support) so I canceled the trial after 1 day.  No problems there.  Now, I would like to uninstall the applications and free up hard disk space.  But I can't because "creative cloud" won't run at all?  So am I understanding this correctly that I need to have an active susbscription in order to uninstall Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Creative cloud?  Thanks - maybe I am missing something

Uninstall with your operating system (if Windows through Control Panel) and then use the Cleaner Tool:

thanks, I think I just needed to uninstall illustrator thru creative cloud, then I could use the control panel to uninstall creative cloud.

thanks for the suggestion.  when I tried to launch creative cloud nothing happened for about 15 seconds (no splash screen, etc) but eventually it popped up.  I thought it wasn't running before but now I know I just need to wait for it to load.

the cc desktop app has an uninstaller:

uninstall the cc desktop app, again using the correct uninstaller per https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html#sa_src=web-messaging
