Two overlapping Creative Cloud Photography Plans after redeeming Amazon code – need help resolving

Hello everyone,

I recently purchased an Adobe Creative Cloud Photography Plan activation code from Amazon to extend my existing subscription. I redeemed the code through my Adobe account, expecting it to continue my current plan after the current period ends.

Unfortunately, instead of extending my existing plan, Adobe has created two separate, parallel subscriptions that include the exact same software. The only difference between them appears to be the size of the Creative Cloud storage. This is not what I intended, and I’d like to avoid paying for two identical subscriptions at the same time.

My goal is for the newly added Amazon subscription to begin only after my current plan expires—not to have both running at the same time.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Is there a way to merge or schedule the new plan to start after the first one ends? I would really appreciate any advice or help from the community or Adobe support.

Thank you in advance!

Sun112, thanks for posting to this public discussion forum. Kglad is correct, you need to apply a redemption code for the same plan type if you want to extend it. You can find more information on the process at https://adobe.ly/44EavPM.

You currently have a second subscription. If you do not need the second subscription, in addition to your already active plan, then cancel the plan using the steps listed in https://adobe.ly/3GDjoBh. You will then want to contact the reseller who provided you with the code to request a refund. Please review the steps listed in https://adobe.ly/44EavPM carefully if you decide to purchase any additional redemption codes.

You do not need to take any action to continue using your previous plan. It has been active since 2021, and you will continue to be billed monthly, sun112. You may also want to consider this before purchasing any future redemption codes.

I’m extremely disappointed with Adobe. This situation has become the final reason for me to fully switch to Capture One.

It’s frustrating to see the responsibility being passed around without a clear solution. So far, the trial version of Capture One has impressed me, and its import functions meet all my needs. After many years of using Adobe products, this is truly unfortunate and sad.

But at this point, it’s clear to me that it’s time to move on.

Best regards,
