Unjust Account Suspension for "Fraud" & Unacceptable Support Experience (Freelance Video Editor)

Hi Adobe Community & Moderators,

I am reaching out here in absolute frustration as a last resort, hoping a moderator or community manager can escalate this case. My Adobe account has been falsely flagged and blocked for "fraud," despite being a legitimate paying customer.

Here is what happened:

  • The Billing: On September 2, 2026, I was billed normally for my monthly Premiere Pro subscription (€15.99, Invoice No: IEE2026016419410).

  • The Sudden Ban: Shortly after this successful payment, I received an automated email from noreply@adobe.com stating that "fraudulent behavior" was detected on my Premiere plan and that my subscription had been cancelled and blocked.

  • The Costly Support Loop: I tried resolving this through support. First, I got no proper help. Then, I had to make an expensive international phone call from the Netherlands to the US, which cost me €60 in phone bills. The agent promised to call me back on Monday, but completely ghosted me.

  • Conflicting Chat Support: Today, I opened a new support chat. The agent (Amrin) gave me completely contradictory information:

    1. First, they stated the account cannot be reactivated or changed due to the fraud flag.

    2. Then, after I pointed out that I literally just paid for this month, they offered a one-month refund/credit as a "special exception."

    3. At the same time, they admitted in the chat that this situation is a mess, yet they continue to claim they cannot unflag or restore my specific account, while simultaneously offering to let me buy the exact same plan again on this very same account.

As a freelance video editor, I rely heavily on this account for my administration, proper invoicing, and daily work. I did nothing wrong, my payment went through successfully, and I am essentially being locked out of the service I paid for—costing me extra money in international calls and lost working time.

What I need: Can a moderator please look into my account, review the flags, and properly restore/unflag my account instead of forcing me to abandon my administrative history and setup?

  • Account email associated: info@fabianmedia.nl

  • Invoice number: IEE2026016419410

I look forward to a swift resolution from an official Adobe representative.

    Thank you for posting, @happy_fiercenessed32.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I can see why this situation would be concerning, especially when you rely on Premiere Pro for your freelance work.

Unfortunately, we can't review or verify account-specific actions through the community, including subscription status changes, account restrictions, or fraud-related determinations. Because of that, we're unable to investigate or restore an account from this public forum.

If you believe your account was incorrectly restricted or a subscription was canceled in error, I recommend contacting us directly through our support channels so the appropriate team can review the account details and any emails or notifications you received:

I don't see any records of any previous attempts to reach us. You can use the information https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/customer-support-portal.html to review and update any recent support cases.

Please update this public discussion thread if you have any additional questions, @happy_fiercenessed32.

I experienced exactly the same issue as you.

I subscribed to Creative Cloud Pro on August 19, and on August 22 I received an email from Adobe stating:

“We are reaching out to notify you that our fraud prevention specialists detected fraudulent behavior concerning your Creative Cloud Pro subscription. As a result, your subscription has been cancelled and you will no longer be able to access the included Adobe apps and services.”

I have contacted Adobe Customer Support four times regarding this issue. However, each time I was told that because my account had been flagged for fraud, they were unable to reactivate the subscription or make any changes to it.

I have not been given any clear explanation of what specific activity was considered fraudulent, nor have I been provided with a meaningful way to appeal or resolve the issue.

I legitimately subscribed to Creative Cloud Pro and did not engage in any fraudulent activity.

Has anyone who experienced the same issue successfully had the fraud flag removed or had their original subscription restored?

I can’t think of a major company that treats its customers with so much contempt.

There is a reason why so many video editors switched to Kdenlive.

    • Powerful
    • Completely free
    • No advertising
    • Run by a non-profit
    • Supporter by a community

At least Kdenlive is never going to screw you.

What’s the point of paying so much money if you are going to be treated so badly?
