Question

Using adobe creative cloud on an institute license

I believe I have an institute license from the high school I used to attend, that i use for Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects daily. On the Creative Cloud Desktop app it shows that included in my plan are all of the apps that Creative Cloud has to offer. On the Creative Cloud website though, it shows that i currently don't have any paid plans. I understand that you can activate 2 devices with creative cloud, but I can only use creative cloud apps on my main desktop. If i try to log into creative cloud using my laptop, it shows that i need to try or buy the apps i am trying to use. It also shows that I have no activated devices, despite being logged in on my main desktop and being able to use and update all of Creative Cloud's apps. I am considering upgrading my motherboard, but I'm afraid that the license is tied to my motherboard and if i try logging in on the new one, the license will no longer be there. I'm not sure what license i currently have and why I can only use these apps on my desktop computer.

Hi @Martin21957387fdoi quick question - do you have a new Adobe ID not tied to the high school account? If you are trying to access with the credentials from the high school you used to attend, that access may have been revoked by the school.

we've already ruled that out.

@kglad sorry I didnt see that. @Martin21957387fdoi states he's logging in with the same ID so I thought the ID is tied to the school and access was revoked at the Admin level.

are you sure you're using the same adobe id (and possibly profile) on both computers?  ie, sign out of both and sign in on both using the same id,  http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/sign-in-out-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

I have signed in and out of both computers numerous times using the same ID, and my account does not have any profiles. Still, unfortunately I cannot access any of these apps anyhwere other than my main computer.

if you followed my first suggestion and signed out and then back into BOTH computers, that ruled out @Test Screen Name's (reasonable) hypothesis.

did you sign out and in to both?  if yes, did you follow the next suggestions?

I reset the CC desktop app and when that didn't change anything, I uninstalled it using the uninstaller. I cleaned the computer of CC files using the CSCleaner tool. I have the latest windows version, and both repaired and updated the ms visual redistributables. After restarting my computer I redownloaded the CC desktop app and logged in. It still required me to either try or buy the apps so i registered for the Photoshop 7-day free trial but I'm still pretty sure that the plan that i have only works on my main desktop.
