Want to find out when I can cancel without incurring a cancellation fee

Hi, I've tried many ways (including the very unhelpful chatbot and AI) but can't find out when I can cancel my contract without incurring a fee.

I need to know when my contract end date is but where do I find that?

I'm paying monthly for an annual plan and if I cancel today I would need to pay £74-odd, but would lose access from January, which seems daft.  I may as well pay during the cancellation period and then cancel. But I can't find out what the magic date is that I would need to cancel!

Thanks in advance...  Ali

I managed to dig out the renewal email to find out the renewal date and as it's not until November I will just carry on paying until then and then cancel.  It's annoying but can't be helped, especially as the price went up - I missed that email completely grrr!  It's frustrating how my account is so unclear about how long I'm signed up for.  Very poor service so I definitely won't be carrying on.  Thanks for your help!

Check the date of when your Generative Credit amount renews - that is your montly billing cycle.

Get ready for the bad part:

You "signed" a contract for one year service- but are paying "by the month"-  You are still going to pay to cancel- that was part of the contract you agreed to.

People never read the contract when signing up- Adobe's cancellation process has been well  documented

or an Adobe annual plan paid monthly, you'll pay a cancellation fee of 50% of the remaining balance of your contract if you cancel after the initial 14-day trial period, with service continuing until the end of that month; the fee is calculated by summing your remaining monthly payments and taking half of that total.
How to Calculate Your Fee
  1. Check Your Remaining Months: Determine how many months are left in your 12-month commitment.
  2. Find Your Monthly Rate: Look up the cost of your current monthly payment.
  3. Calculate Remaining Obligation: Multiply your monthly rate by the number of months left.
  4. Apply the 50% Penalty: Your cancellation fee is 50% of that total.
Example: If you have 6 months left at $50/month, your fee is 50% of ($50 x 6) = 50% of $300, which is $150.

ABOUT THE EUROPEAN UNION:

Key Differences for Customers in France (and EU)
  • Cooling-Off Period: Like most regions, Adobe offers a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of the initial purchase for most plans.
  • EU Consumer Law & Contract Changes: Under EU law, if a company changes the terms of your contract (which some users argue has occurred with Adobe's AI policies), you may be entitled to end the contract without penalty.
  • Challenges to Early Termination Fees: There have been discussions and challenges within EU countries regarding the legality of Adobe's early termination fees, with some users reporting success in having the fees waived by contacting customer support and referencing local consumer protection laws.

How to Cancel
You can initiate the cancellation process through your Adobe account management page.
  1. Sign in to your account on the Adobe website.
  2. Navigate to the Manage plan section for the subscription you wish to cancel.
  3. Select Cancel your plan.
If you face difficulties or are charged a fee you believe is unlawful under French consumer law, you may need to contact Adobe Customer Care directly and specifically cite your rights as an EU consumer.

Did you look in https://account.adobe.com/plans > Plans and Payment tab?

The annual plans (paid monthly or in a lump sum) are deeply discounted from the monthly plans that can be cancelled without a fee.
