What do you do?

I have recently fallen extremely ill and cannot afford to pay the term for the Adobe subscription anymore due to medical costs and general living costs, but Adobe refuses to let me out of the term agreement regardless. Do I somehow find a way to battle this in court + sue for damages or is there a peaceful way to help the company understand when you're completely out of financial/life control and release the term without trying to bleed me into debt?

Jordan, sorry you are encountering medical issues. Please follow the advice of John T Smith, Nancy OShea, and Kglad and contact our support team directly at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen to discuss the need to cancel your membership.

I don't see any records of any previous contact, Jordan, but bookmark https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/customer-support-portal.html if you need to update your recent support cases. Your recently acquired membership is under the account you used to post to this public discussion forum, so there is no need to log in under a different account.

For future viewers of this discussion, you can use the process listed at https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html to self-cancel most Adobe memberships and subscriptions. Fees may apply depending on the membership type and how far you are into the annual membership plan.

If you have any questions about any charges or fees or need help canceling, please begin a secure chat session at https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?rghtup=autoOpen to speak with a member of our support team. Nancy's advice is especially relevant here; being kind will lead to a smoother interaction for you and the person helping you with the cancellation process.

you couldn't economically sue, but you can appeal to adobe by contacting them (again?).

Sorry about your med/money situation.  I hope things turn around for you very soon.

In the meantime, contact an Adobe support agent. DO NOT make threats.  You'll catch more flies with honey than you will with vinegar.  Calmly explain your situation.  Matters such as these are handled on a case-by-case basis.

    Best of luck to you.

This space is provided by Adobe, but this is not Adobe support
Sorry, nobody here can help with an account or payment problem
This is a public forum, you need the link to Adobe support, not other users
Help Center https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html is a good place to start
Be sure to remain signed in with your Adobe ID before accessing the link below
Do be aware that Adobe's staffing is impacted by the Covid virus, so wait times are long
    .
You MUST make sure that your browser does NOT block ads, scripts, or pop-ups
You MUST also allow 'cookies' in your web browser for the link to work
This will NOT work if you are using a VPN
    .
This link will go directly to the chat option
Type "Agent" in the chat box to bypass the chatbot and be connected to a person
-Meaning type in the word Agent without the quote " " marks

    or
    Twitter tweet @AdobeCare
    .
Adobe does NOT do support by email, so beware of answering anyone who sends you a private message
