Question

What does Adobe even do?

I recently became unemployed. To read a job spec for an interview I had to open an Adobe file so I signed up for the 7 day trial then yearly payment (only option) as expected I forgot to unsubscribe and remembered 9 days later. Looks like I can't contact anyone or get my money back.

Never used Adobe at all, so with an unwanted subscription, what can I actually even use Adobe for to get somewhat of my moneys use?

    Adobe is a company like Apple or Microsoft. Adobe makes assorted products & services for graphic designers, photographers, print professionals, 2D & 3D designers, movie & TV industries & more...

    I’m assuming you downloaded Acrobat to open a PDF file.

    Acrobat is used by schools, businesses, & govt agencies for viewing, sharing, commenting and signing digital documents.

    you may still be within the trial period (which is usually 14 days) so cancel your subscription if you don’t need to edit pdf files.

    @Lucyrose98

    excellent!  now double check your account ( https://account.adobe.com ) and make sure all subscriptions are cancelled.

    You could have used the free Reader https://get.adobe.com/reader

    Forgetting to cancel a trial is not Adobe’s fault… do make a note to cancel during the 12th month so the subscription does not renew

    Thanks for taking your time to respond with nothing!

    1. It wouldn't let me open it using a free reader or I would've just done that obviously

    2. I never said in my message it was adobes fault, I was asking what I could use it for because I now have it

    If I go back in time I will definitely take your...advice?/criticism on board 🫡
