When do I cancel my payment before another renewal occurs?

Hello, 

I am currently using Adobe for Students with an annual subscription paid monthly. I'm only four months using the Adobe Program, but I was wondering about when should I cancel before another renewal occurs. 

My plan ends on December 25, 2020.

Based on Adobe Cloud's subscription terms, after my payment on November 25, 2020, occurs, then do I cancel the plan and pay a $10 cancellation fee? (1 month remaining, 50% of the $20 remaining balance = $10 early termination fee.)

Is there another method to canceling my year renewal without a cancellation fee? If not, is what I stated above is the correct way to cancel every yearly adobe subscription? 

I just wanted to confirm before I am accidentally signed to another year. Thanks.
