When is a cancellation effective?

I want to cancel my subscription for various reasons before it expires later this month,

If I put my cancellation request in now do I get to use the service I paid for until the end of my term in a few weeks?

Or will Adobe rudely immediately deactivate my subscription, even though I have paid for several more weeks already?

Adobe's statement suggests that they will have terminate my pre-paid service, instead of properly ending my current term and not start another.

it will stop immediately.

put a reminder on your calendar to cancel within one week of your subscription's end-date.

Thanks for your reply.

Really? It will cancel the subscription period I have already paid for without refund if I cancel early to ensure adobe gets its act together and processes it by the dedline?

But if I cancel my subscription one hour late, adobe will charge me a 50% penalty of an annual subscription to cancel?

This seems exactly like the sleazy behavior of a lowlife gym club evertone knows. Or am I not understanding something here? adobe is a huge software company but they cannot accept advance request to cancel a subscription at the end of a period, effective on the final day that a customer prepaid for?

That is not a software flaw. That is a deliberate and sleazy business decision to grab m oney from customers and make their lives miserable.

I see many complaints from former adobe customers here about adobe continuing to be billed after they cancelled in time. Just like sleazy gym clubs everywhere - except adobe is a multinational billion dollar corporation.

Interesting.

I know you are not adobe staff (nor is anyone here) so cannot meaningfully reply to my points. Again, thanks for your informative reply. How did you knwo the answer, by the way? I could not find the answer to a basic question anywhere on adobe;'s websites.

you have a 1 to 2 week grace period after the renewal date when you can cancel without penalty.

i'm a big fan of adobe, but there are more than a few business practices and informational items that, i think, are embarrassing.
