Why can't I remove my credit card with an active plan?

Why can't I remove my credit card with an active plan? Why? I want to keep my current plan but I do not want to prolong it. There is also a security aspect behind this, there is no need to keep my card.

Can someone give me an honest answer? Is it due to technical difficulties? Russias war on ukraine? Obama? Or perhaps, adobe hopes that once forgets to cancel it and thereby prolonging the service another year? (gotta make that money for our shareholders)

 

This "feature" lacks words on how bad it is. You make me want to go back to [illegal activity removed].

 

So again, why can't I remove my card from an active plan? Why?

Mange, I am sorry, but an active payment method is necessary for the type of Creative Cloud membership that you are currently using.  Please bookmark https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/cancel-subscription.html for information on how you can cancel your active Creative Cloud membership.  If you need assistance with the process, you will want to continue working directly with our support team.  You can use the steps listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/customer-support-portal.html to update your recent support cases.

 

 

Once your active Creative Cloud membership is canceled, you can use the process listed in https://helpx.adobe.com/manage-account/using/delete-adobe-account.html if you want to remove your personal information, including payment card details, from Adobe servers.

Thanks for you reply, but you did not answer my question. Why? Why does Adobe has this scheme? No other company that I'm awear of does this. Why do I need to have a active credit card during a full year when you have already paided for a full year? (note, I understand it's necessary during the trial time/full cash back time)

Mange, I am sorry, but I would just be repeating my previous response.  You can use the steps in my previous post to make sure your credit card information is removed after the membership has been canceled.
