Why am I trapped in a one year commitment? Does this company not make enough from subscription fees from government and commerical contracts and subscriptions that they have to trap other average users in un-cancellable commitments?

I had to have this software to insert ONE signature. I figured that no big deal I will cancel before the end of the trial subscription. Well I had to go on an active duty deployment and couldn't cancel; I tried to call every call goes straight to a busy/disconnected tone. I figured that Adobe was a big enough company, they may work with me once I am able to cancel. To my suprise, they are not.

I don't need this software or want it, please help me out here. but probably not since... well the title says it all.
